Woodye Lee Goeke, 93, passed away on June 12, 2026, at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born in Mobile, Alabama, on December 13, 1932, and had been a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, for the past 62 years. Woodye was an only child, a loving mother, and a homemaker whose efforts were enjoyed by her six children and their friends.
Woodye is preceded in death by her husband, Hilton G. Goeke; son, Anthony G. Goeke; daughter, Susan Ann Goeke Nix; son-in-law, Stephen G. Lee; parents, Walter Wood Gunn and Jannie Mae (Hudson) Gunn; brother-in-law, Harvey Goeke; and sister- in-law, Rosemary Pocase.
Woodye is survived by four children, Sharon M. Lee of Corpus Christi, Texas, Allison M. Longoria of Edinburg, Texas, Terrell Goeke of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Joan Goeke of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter-in-law, Karen Goeke of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son-in-law, Stephen Nix of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Goeke, Gregory Goeke, Joshua Bethel, Michael (Katherine) Longoria, Kimberly (Chris) Blaine, Caitlin Longoria, Nicholas Longoria, Sara Ramirez-Longoria (Kurt), Shannon Nix, Laura Longoria, Tessa Nix, Gillian (Daniel) Longoria, and William Longoria; six great-grandchildren; six nephews; one niece; and many members of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Whistler Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama, under the direction of Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, Alabama.
