Wilma Lee Zdansky passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at the age of 84 years old. Wilma was born on June 19, 1941, in Nordheim, Texas, to Caesar and Mata Alex.
Wilma is preceeded in death by her husband, Steve Zdansky Jr.; sister, Doris Ann Stewart; and brother, Elroy Alex Sr.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Wanda Hall and Melissa Davis; 8 grandchildren, Veronica, Trisha (Roland), Erica, Jessica, Lacey (Chris), Melanie, Samantha (Bo), and Caleb; and 7 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Karlee, Kinslee, Kason, Malachi, Charlotte, and Luka.
Beyond being a mother and grandma - or more affectionately known as "granny" - Wilma was also a proud resident of Tynan, Texas, where she was a cook at OK Café (famous for the chicken fried steak and chili specials). She also worked for the Skidmore-Tynan schools cafeteria for many years. Apart from working, Wilma also volunteered with the Tynan Rec Hall and was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan, Texas.
Public Visitation will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Winsteads Funeral Home, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan, Texas. A gathering with refreshments will follow interment at Peace United Church of Christ in Tynan, Texas.
Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: Caleb Davis, Roland Figueroa, Chris Fastle, Bo Kutscherousky, Samuel Lansford, John Minter Jr., and David Minter, with Kason Hall, Malachi Tilmon, and Luka Figueroa serving as honorary pallbearers.
