Wayne Leon Whittington, 85, of Kingsville, Texas passed away July 07,2022. He was born April 06, 1937, in Los Angeles, California to Oran A. Whittington & Linnie Whittington. Mr. Whittington worked for Kingsville Postal Service for 35 years and Kingsville ISD for 10 years. He served in the United States Army (2 years teletype operator). Mr. Whittington Coached Little League Baseball, Major League Baseball, Senior League Baseball. He was a Mentor & Father figure to many young men.

He loved: dancing; watching his grandkids play all sports (soccer, baseball, softball, run track & volleyball); watching San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, LSU, A&M College Station & Texas Longhorns.

Mr. Whittington was preceded in death by parents Oran & Linnie Whittington; Sister Nelda Curnutte,

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joy Beth Whittington, Brother Bud (Sarah) Whittington; Sister-in-law Jana Sue Hayes. Children, Josh (Robin) Whittington; Lauri (Erick) Winkler, Cameron (Norma) Whittington; Jennifer (Christian) Pineda; Bonus Son; Laddy Brown.

Grandchildren: Stephanie (Dustin) Ley; Kayla (David) Parker; Tyler Burkett; Haleigh (Chris) Messonnier; Cody (Dillion) Whittington; Austin (Bailee) Silva; Kennedy Silva; Kyleigh Silva; Cade Riley Pineda.

Great-Grandchildren: Christopher Cameron Ley; Charlie Jude Messonnier.

His angel, caregiver, Janie Ochoa Guajardo.
