In Loving Memory of Victor Jaymee Breunig
June 22, 1978 – February 1, 2026.

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we honor the extraordinary life of Victor Jaymee Breunig, who passed peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 47. While our loss is profound, we choose to remember not only the day he left us, but every day he lived with purpose, courage, compassion, and a deep faith in God.

Born in Bellflower, California, Victor entered the world with a spark that never dimmed. From childhood, he carried an unshakable belief that life was a gift from God; something to be cherished, nurtured, and shared. He believed that every challenge was an opportunity to trust more deeply, and every blessing a reminder of God’s grace. This faith became the foundation of a life that inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Victor’s journey was not defined solely by milestones, but by the countless moments in between; the quiet acts of kindness, the words of encouragement offered at just the right time, and the laughter that could light up a room. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed and valued, for seeing the best in others even when they could not see it themselves. His compassion flowed naturally from his belief that we are called to love one another as God loves us.

In his professional life, Victor approached every endeavor with integrity, dedication, and a sense of responsibility to make a difference. In his personal life, he was a steadfast friend, a loving family member, and a guiding light to those who sought wisdom and comfort. His faith was not something he spoke about loudly; it was something he lived quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly.

Victor believed that life was meant to be lived to the fullest, because tomorrow is never promised. He lived by this truth, trusting in God’s plan and embracing each day with gratitude. His legacy of generosity, humility, and faith will ripple outward for generations.

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Neomi Breunig; stepson, David Ramirez; beloved corgi, Moose Maximus Breunig; mother, Dorothy Breunig; father, Dennis Breunig; paternal grandparents, Charlene Breunig and Claire and Louis Wrede; brother, Christopher Breunig; and sisters, Anahi Barnes (John Paul) and Shantay Winstead (Cody). His beloved nieces and nephews; Jayden Barnes, Bella Contreras, Whinley Winstead, Scarlett Barnes, Penelope Breunig, and Rhett Barnes; brought him joy and laughter and will carry forward his values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering faith in the goodness God places in every person.

Visitation will be held at Winsteads’ Funeral Home, 500 Wildcat Drive, Portland, TX, on Monday, February 9, from 5:00–7:00 PM, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 14, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, located at 5830 Williams Dr., Corpus Christi, TX, followed by burial services at Memory Gardens Cemetery, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Victor are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.

Though we grieve, we also give thanks for the lessons Victor taught us, for the love he gave so freely, and for the reminder that a life rooted in faith never truly ends. He showed us that even in the face of life’s trials, we can choose hope over despair, love over fear, and trust over uncertainty.

May we honor Victor not only with our words, but with the way we live our own lives with open hearts, unshakable kindness, and the courage to walk in faith, just as he did.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Winsteads’ Funeral Home. (361) 643-6564 www.winsteadsfuneralhome.com
