Thomas William
Braddish
June 30, 1966 – May 28, 2026
Thomas William Braddish, affectionately known to all as Thom, passed away on May 29, 2026, in Portland, Texas. Born on June 30, 1966, in Aurora, Illinois, Thom’s life was a testament to the warmth and love he carried in his heart for his family, friends, and beloved dogs.
Thom’s career with results companies spanned several years, during which time he forged lasting friendships that reflected the genuine and caring person he was. His colleagues remember him not just for his work but for the joy and comfort he brought into their lives. He had a remarkable ability to tell the best stories, captivating those around him with laughter and empathy. Thom always believed in understanding both sides of every story and urged others to walk in another’s shoes to gain true perspective—wisdom he practiced throughout his days.
A man of many passions, Thom’s love for music, cooking, and grilling was well known, and Sunday barbecues became a cherished tradition he eagerly upheld. His curiosity for learning new things, combined with his affection for all things canine, painted a picture of a man who embraced life fully and wholeheartedly. A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, he treasured moments spent surrounded by family more than anything else in the world.
One of the most treasured memories Thom held close was the first time he saw the ocean, a moment shared with his wife Veronica in the spring of 2018. The vast beauty of the sea left an everlasting mark on his soul, and he said it was an experience he would carry with him forever.
Thom’s family was the center of his world. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Braddish; his daughters Megan Pettitt, Rebecca and her husband Eric Eichelberger, Gayle and husband Gerard Damiano; sons Matthew Benson; son Joseph Pettitt and his wife Jessica; his devoted siblings, Kathy Bone and her husband Tom, Richard Baden, and Cindy Mickle and her husband George; brother JoAnn Baden; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and numerous cherished grandchildren. Their love and memories will keep his spirit alive.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas J. Braddish, mother Nancy L. Braddish, brother James Baden, and sister Patricia “Micky” Stys.
The family extends special thanks to Vicki and Rick Cahill and Kris Hanczar for many years of steadfast friendship. Deep gratitude also goes to the caregivers at the Harbor Hospice of Portland and the office of Dr. Darryl Collins for their compassionate support during Thom’s final days.
Thomas William Braddish made a lasting impact everywhere he went and on everyone he met. With a big heart and an open hand, he lifted those around him, taught through example, and left behind a legacy of kindness and love that will never be forgotten. In celebrating his life, we hold onto his words, his laughter, and the unshakable love he had for his family and friends. Rest peacefully, Thom—you will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
