Steven Ray Ridenour, 65, passed away March 9, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in June 30, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama to Ernie and Dorothy RidenourSteve served in the USAF from 1970-1976. After leaving the military, Steve was a self employed oilfield consultant for 38 years. He loved his career in the oilfield, but more than that he loved God. He began Church without Walls in 1999. He traveled with his Evangelical Ministry throughout Texas sharing the news of Jesus Christ through teachings and music ministry. Steve always had a Bible ready to give away. Steve was a member of Bikers for Christ, Corpus Christi Chapter. He shared his love for Jesus Christ with every person he knew and with strangers he met, whether it be in the parking lot at Walmart or a homeless addict on the streets. He was a compassionate, caring person and will be missed by many. After he became ill, Facebook became his Church Without Walls He shared scriptures daily, he prayed for those in need of prayer, his Facebook friends were his congregation. Most of them he had never met personally but loved them dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, E. L. Ridenour and Dorothy Ridenour and two grandsons, Stephen R. Ridenour, III and grandson Cameron.Steve is survived by his wife Linda Ridenour and nine children, Allison Lascano, Bobby (Amiee) Ridenour, Jackie (Chuck) Munoz, Kevin (Lisa) Ridenour, Stephany (Jo) Ridenour, Stevie (Marie) Ridenour, Brian (Janelle) Ridenour, Brandon Ridenour and Valerie (Jamie) Ortiz. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, Katie, Redding, Clementine, Briahnna, Tristan, Hazel, Jules, Justin, Robbie, Laiylah, Jazzlyn, Meah and Hailey. Steve is also survived by his brother Dwight Ridenour and his sister DeAnne Ridenour along with his nephew Michael Burtts who worked closely with him in his ministry.Visitation will start on Tuesday March 13 at 12:00 noon at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel with the family present that evening from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Dobie Funeral Home. Military service and burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
