Steven Ray Ridenour, born on December 16, 1991, in Corpus Christi, Texas, was a beloved son, husband, father, and brother who passed away on July 14, 2025, in Corpus Christi. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him.

Steven was known for his kind and welcoming nature, always making others feel at ease with his great sense of humor. He had an infectious spirit that brought laughter and joy to every gathering, often serving as the family jokester. His passion for life was evident in all he did, whether it was mastering the art of cooking—especially barbecuing—or showcasing his unique style through well-chosen, sharp outfits. Steven’s love for music resonated deeply within him, and his affinity for tattoos reflected his vibrant personality and the stories he cherished.

Family was at the core of Steven's being. He had a profound affection for his mother, Linda Ridenour, often referred to as a "Momma's boy." His love extended to his wife, Merie Rivas, whom he celebrated as the love of his life over their 11 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Jazlyn Ridenour, lovingly nicknamed his "Jazzy Ray of sunshine," who brought immense joy to his life. Steven was also cherished by his siblings: sisters,  Allison Lascano, Jackie R. Munoz, Valarie Ortiz, and Stephany Ridnour, and brothers, Bobby Ridenour, Kevin Ridenour, Brian Ridenour, and Brandon Ridenour. Additionally, he was embraced by his maternal grandmother, Carolina Garcia, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who admired him dearly.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Steven Ray Ridenour Sr., son, Steven Ray Ridenour III, paternal grandparents, E.L. Ridenour & Dorothy, his maternal grandfather, Margarito Garcia Sr., his nephew, Cameron Ortiz.

A visitation will be held in honor of Steven on July 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a prayer service that evening at 7:00 PM at Winsteads' Funeral Home, located at 121 N Duval St., Mathis, TX. A funeral service will take place on July 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Cenizo Hill Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

As we reflect on the life of Steven Ray Ridenour, we remember a man whose love for his family was unwavering, whose kindness touched countless lives, and whose spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories we hold dear.
