Sharyn Bode

On July 29, 2021 Sharyn Lee Bode passed away at her home in Aransas Pass, TX. Sharyn was 73 years old. She had 4 biological children, two of whom, Donald Ray and Kimberly Ann, passed in childhood. Her surviving children, Allen Bode, of Portland, TX and Leslie Bode, of Ithaca, NY have beautiful families of their own giving Sharyn five grandchildren and eight surviving great grandchildren.

Sharyn Lee was loved for her strong heart and will be remembered for her ability to listen closely to the needs of her family, friends, and even her children’s friends and families. Sharyn showed her love and support in many ways: she opened her home to anyone who needed a soft landing, she offered a good ear, a warm hand to hold and the best hugs that let the receiver know they were not alone. Both extended and immediate family credit Sharyn for their success, saying her support allowed them to reach goals otherwise unattainable.

Many of her family remember how they loved visiting with Sharyn most of all; whether at a campsite or over a game of cards she was fun loving and made everyone feel welcome.

Sharyn is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Melvin Bode, her children, Allen and Leslie Bode, and two siblings Larry Mitchell and Phyllis Jarvis.

The viewing is Monday, August 2nd from 5-7p and the funeral service is Tuesday, August 3rd at 2pm. Both will be held at Winsteads’/Limbaugh Funeral Home. All are welcome to join in celebration of Sharyn’s life.
