Santos C. Reyes

Santos C Reyes, a devoted wife and loving mother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 14,2026 at the age of 76. Born to Juan and Genovea Cortez on April 14,1949 in Taft, TX.

Santos lived a life defined by love, kindness, and quiet strength. She was the heart of her family — a woman whose warmth filled every room and whose care shaped the lives of those she loved most.

As a wife, she was a beloved partner to her husband Feliciano Reyes of 60 years. Their life together was built on love, mutual respect, and countless shared moments that will be treasured forever. As a mother, Santos gave endlessly of herself. Her children were her greatest joy, and she nurtured them with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her guidance, laughter, and comforting presence will live on in them always. She is survived by her loving husband, Feliciano Reyes; children, Felix (Lupe) Reyes, Juan Reyes, Irma Reyes, Irene (Roman) Rios and Linda (David) Ramos; her grandchildren, Ashley Peña, Vincent Vela, Christian Reyes, Nestor Reyes, Roman Rios IV, Madai Reyes, Michael Gutierrez, Jason Toro, Rene Rios, Alyssa Gonzalez, Mya Rios; her sisters Estella Cortez and Anita Chapa.

She also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren and countless Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Genovea Cortez, her sister Sylvia Ramos and brothers Macario Cortez, Ruben Cortez, Juan Cortez, Neto Cortez and Antonio Cortez. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable ache, her legacy of love remains. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was — a woman deeply loved and forever missed.

The viewing will begin at 5:00pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm on January 22,2026 at Winsteads’ Funeral Home, 500 Wildcat Dr, Portland TX. A mass will be held on January 23, 2026 at 10:00am in Gregory Tx at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 107 Church St, Gregory TX.
