Santiago Vallejo Jr.

Santiago Vallejo Jr, age 71, passed away on August 8, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was born on April 16, 1949 in Mathis, Texas to Maria Consuela Silva and Santiago Vallejo Sr.  Santiago was a life long resident Of Mathis, Texas. Santiago was a retired custodian of 31 years for Mathis ISD.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agripina of 48 years; daughter, Cristina V. Rios; sisters, Elizabeth (Lecha) Martinez, Maria (Maggie) DeLeon; Grandson, Christopher J. Paiz; Granddaughter, Cassandra L. Paiz, and Great-grandsons, Julius Vallejo and Sabastian K. Vallejo.

He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Vallejo of San Antonio, Texas; Daughters, Dalia (Jessie) Ruiz, Maria (Jesus) Resendiz and Andromeda (Rosendo) Rodriguez all of Mathis, Texas; Sons, Adan (Alice) Vallejo of Sandia, Texas, and Florencio (Jennifer) Vallejo of Flour Bluff.  He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 41 Great-grandchildren and one Great Great-grandson as well as numerous family members.

Pallbearers are Grandsons, Pedro Ramon Paiz III, Adan Vallejo Jr, Vicente Andrew Vallejo, Antonio Santiago Vallejo, Jose Carlos Ruiz, Victor Vallejo, Jeremiah Caleb Rodriguez, and Jody Ruiz.

Visitation will be held on August 14, 2020 at 10:00 am at Dobie Funeral Home. Funeral Service is  at 1:00 pm followed by interment to Descano Eterno II.

Face coverings are required per Governor Abbott.
