Sandra Aguilar McQueen, 54, of Kingsville, Texas died July 8th, 2024. She was born on September 2nd, 1969 in Kingsville, Texas to Leonardo and Virginia Aguilar.
Sandra A. McQueen worked for several years for the Kingsville Independent School District as a Special Education Teacher/Bus Aide. When living in San Antonio, Tx, Sandra began working as a preschool Teacher at the Country Home Learning Center where she thrived for many years helping to develop little minds and become more independent. Sandra also took on the adventure of becoming a part-time Uber driver, staying up many late nights and enjoying meeting many different people.
Although she never had children of her own, Sandra became a motherly figure to many over time becoming "Momma Bear" and shortly thereafter was fondly referred to as everyone's "TITA". Sandra would make sure all those she loved were taken care of – whether it was driving a group of teenage boys to the beach on Spring Break or taking in family/friends to ensure they had a roof over their heads.
Sandra consistently prioritized the needs of others. She had an infectious smile, a heart of gold, and a strong will to live. Sandra always exuded kindness, had a straightforward mentality, and was always willing to tell it like it is. She embraced life to the fullest by enjoying simple pleasures such as spending time with loved ones, cooking family meals, and building strong bonds with her sisters, nieces, and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all of those she cared for and loved.
Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Sandra is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Monroe McQueen and her parents, Leonardo and Virginia Aguilar. She is survived by five sisters: Veronica Tullos (Bryan), Dolores Hernandez (Andres), Glenda Aguilar (Gilbert), Thelma Aguilar, Michelle Aguilar (Michael) and two brothers: Mario Cortinas (Melinda) and Jacob Omar Rojas (Teresa), numerous nieces and nephews to include whom she referred to as loves of her life: Brianna Rivas-Benavides(Edwin), Caelan Altamirano and Marla Aguilar.
