John 14:1-3

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me.  My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Ruth Ellen Olson was born May 9, 1945 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James Lafayette (Lafe) Wheeler and Ethel Caroline Estes Wheeler, both deceased. She left this world on August 18, 2019 at the age of 74 to join her beloved parents, sister, Mittie Marie Bowman, and brother, James (Jimmy) Allen Wheeler.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Eloise Evans; brother, Merl Othaneil Wheeler; 2 sons: Glen Dewayne Olson and Robert Allen Olson; 2 daughters: Sheri Caroline Laird and Shanda Marie Adams; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Ruth had a kind heart and opened her home too many who were lost or in need. As such, she leaves behind a multitude of extended family members who loved and cared for her as well.

Throughout her years, Ruth was known by all to be a great lover of animals. Her pets were her family and she did all she could to give them as much as they provided to her.

Although her passing leaves a deep sadness, it allows us an opportunity to reflect on the beautiful memories she has left for each of us.

Psalms 23: 1-6

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
