Ruby Delois Petty

Ruby Laird Petty, a longtime resident of Portland, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2013. She leaves behind a large family who will miss her dearly. Ruby was born on October 11, 1930 in Blessing, Texas to Elva Rickaway Bump and George Bump, Sr.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; siblings George Bump, Jr., Eugene Bump and Syble Bump Watson; husband Billie Ray Laird; and husband D.D. Petty.

She is survived by daughters Elva (Floyd) Loomis, Rita (Preston) Ingram,and Pamela (Ben) Russell; sister Darlene (Wilbur) Hoffman; brother-in-law Gene Laird; grandchildren Caleb (Jana) Breshears, Dax (Helen) Breshears, Derek (Karen) Breshears, Tamra (Michael) Spence, Tiffany (Cody) Schneider, Michael (Hannah) Ingram,Rachel (Matthew) Kuhlman, Misty (Jeremy) Beckwith; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Palms Memorial Gardens in Portland, Texas.
