Rosalie Marie Holleman went home with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully at her home in Orange Grove with family by her side.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents (Julius and Frances Pfeiler); first husband (William (Bill) Stech), second husband ( Carl Holleman), daughters (Barbara Stech and Loretta Katzenmeyer), son-in-law (Jay Katzenmeyer), brother (Fritz Pfeiler), and sister-in-law (Evelyn Pfeiler).
Rosalie was born on January 10, 1930 in Banquete, Texas. In November 1947 she married William (Bill) Stech and raised their four daughters in Orange Grove. She loved the small town rural life and enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, and dancing to country and polka music. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros and enjoyed watching their games. Rosalie was also a gracious hostess who enjoyed entertaining their large circle of family and friends. After raising her children, she and Bill enjoyed many road trips with their friends until he passed away in 1981. In August 1982 she married Carl Holleman and they enjoyed their golden years going on cruises and tour bus trips around the country. She lived a good life and was happiest when she had a companion to share it with.
Left to cherish Rosalie's memory are her daughters Laura Brock and Brenda (Mike) Carlyon; five grandchildren Lon Brock, Max Katzenmeyer, Kevin Katzenmeyer, Stacy (Joe) Russo, and Ashley Carlyon; and five great-grandchildren Summer Russo, and Leah, Kevin Jr., Julia, and Jaykel Katzenmeyer. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
