Rosa Puentes Silva

Rosa Puentes Silva passed away April 30, 2019. She was born July 18, 1948 in Sebastian, Texas to Anastasio and Lucia Salinas Puentes. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister Adela Puentes, 2 brothers: Jesus Puentes, and Juan Simon Puentes.

She is survived by her husband Rosendo Silva Sr.; 2 daughters: Vicki Silva (Curtiss)Lewis, Lucy Silva, 3 sons: Rosendo Silva Jr., Jose (Lupita) Silva, Stephen (Oralia) Silva; 4 sisters: Maria Soto, Margarita Silva, Sylvia Gonzalez, Eloisa Garza; 2 brothers: Jose Puentes, Martin Puentes; 13 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild.

Rosa was an active member of Sacred Heart Group and Guadalupanas. She started her Catholic church volunteer journey at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Turkey, Texas for 15 years . She continued to Sacred Heart Church for the next 25 years.

Pallbearers: Rene Silva, Michael Puentes, Augustin Gonzalez, Trey Silva, Tyler Silva and honorary pallbearer is Jon Silva.

Open casket viewing will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM May 2, 2019 after 4PM casket will be closed. Rosary will follow at 7PM at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM May 3, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church in Mathis, Texas interment to follow at Descanso Eterno II.
