Roman "Charlie" Flores

Roman Carlos Flores, lovingly known to all as “Charlie,” was called to be with our Lord in Heaven on March 25, 2026, at the age of 60.

Charlie was born on January 21, 1966, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Estanislao and Olivia Flores. A proud lifelong resident of his hometown, he built a life centered on family, friendship, and meaningful connections with everyone he met.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Flores, and his son, Carlos Flores. He also leaves behind his brother, John Flores (Sofie), brother Jerry Flores, and sister Patricia Silva (Chris). Charlie was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlie was known by many for his work as a limousine driver, where his warm personality and genuine kindness left lasting impressions. He also dedicated time working as a funeral home attendant, serving families with compassion during their most difficult moments. In addition, he was involved in the Tejano music industry, a reflection of his deep love for music and culture.

A true people person, Charlie found joy in being surrounded by friends and family. He had a passion for life and loved his dogs, playing poker, listening to music, dancing, and sharing conversations. He lived fully in the moment and brought laughter and light wherever he went.

Charlie’s presence, kindness, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5:00 pm at Winsteads' Funeral Home, 500 Wildcat Dr, Portland, Texas 78374, with a Rosary and Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 pm.
