Roberto Garcia

Roberto Garcia passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018. Roberto was born on March 20, 1931 to Augustine and Manuela (Flores) Garcia in Dolores, Texas.

He was preceded in deah by his loving wife, and his parents. Roberto is survived by two sons: Oscar (Sylvia) Garcia and Albert Garcia; five daughters: Gracie (Fred) Cruz, Velma Garcia, Norma (Nino) Gonzales, Josie Garcia and Elia De La Garza. he is also survived by 14 grandchildren.

Roberto served his country proudly when he joined the Army in 1953. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, UN Service Medal and Korean Service Medal.

Visitation was held at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas on Monday May 14, 2018 from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory. Burial was private.
