Richard Dean Pointer

Richard Dean Pointer passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday June 25, 2020 in Mathis, Texas. He was born on February 19, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Homer Sterling and Mamie (Vick) Pointer. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother Homer Pointer, and one sister Jean Bloomfield. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Louella W. Pointer, 4 daughters Martha Fae Savaka, Diana Gunnlaugsson, Verna Pointer, Gracina(Carl) Cook; one son William Vance Pointer; one sister Martha Kirkpatrick; Grandchildren Hilary Pointer, Andrew Pointer, Ryan Thomas, Sterling Thomas, Cayla (Coursey) Floyd, Carl (Elizabeth) Cook Jr., Jason Hatchel, Jesse Savka; 3 Great Grandchildren Cindy Hatchel, Oliver Cook, Olivia Cook.

Special Thanks to two of his nephews Neal Pointer and Homer Pointer. 

Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West, Texas.
