Obituary

Ray Soliz was born on July 10, 1973, in Alice, Texas.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Ramon Posada and Ruben Soliz Sr., as well as his brother, Ruben Soliz Jr.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla Soliz; his sons, Ray Soliz Jr. (Tiffany Rodriguez) and Roy Soliz (Deonna); and his daughter, Ashley Soliz (Eduvige Perez). He is also survived by his sisters, Ester (Rudy) Hernandez and Linda (Frank) Garcia.

Ray was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, who brought him great joy and happiness throughout his life.

Ray was truly the life of every party. He had a special gift for making people laugh, always ready with a joke, a funny story, or a comment. His personality and sense of humor made him someone people naturally gravitated toward, and he never missed an opportunity to make others laugh.

Ray’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, friends and especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought happiness to his life. He cherished every moment shared with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and fun. He also treasured the many friendships he built throughout the years and valued the time spent with friends who became like family.

Whether he was gathered around a backyard barbecue, enjoying good food, sharing stories, or relaxing with an ice-cold Dos Equis with his beer salt and lemons. Ray was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. His laughter was contagious, his presence unforgettable, and his love for family and friends unwavering.

One of Ray’s favorite pastimes also was watching football, and he was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. On game days, you could find him cheering on his Cowboys, sharing laughs, and enjoying the company of those around him.

Though he will be deeply missed, Ray’s spirit will live on through the countless memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely to his family, grandchildren, and friends. His legacy is one of joy, kindness, and bringing people together.
