Philip Arthur Bradley, 73, of Portland, Texas passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 at his home.
Philip was born July 22, 1940 in Port Jefferson, New York to Preston and Elizabeth (Cassidy) Bradley. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Rome Air Force Research Laboratory at the former Griffis Air Force Base in Rome, NY. He enjoyed a happy and loving marriage to Gail Ann Dantz until her death in 1991. Philip lived his childhood in Long Island, NY and the majority of his adult life in Upstate New York. He moved with his daughter and her family to Portland, Texas in 2007. He enjoyed gazing at the waters of Corpus Christi and Nueces Bay, Civil War history, World War II history, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also particularly loved playing ball with his two canine grandchildren, Charlie and Katie Belle.
Philip is survived by his son, David Preston Bradley and his wife Tina of Ionia, NY, daughter Jennifer Gayle Bradley Weir and her husband Karl of Portland, TX; five grandchildren, Maxwell Philip Weir, Nathan Jeffery Bradley, Margaret Gail Weir, Tessa Abigail Bradley, Clara Gaelle Bradley; his brother George Bradley and his wife Shirley, his sister Joan Gifford, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Ann Dantz Bradley, and sons Michael Philip Bradley and Jeffery Fred Bradley.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home, 500 Wildcat Dr., Portland, TX
