Penelope Sue Childress

Penelope (Penny) Childress, 69, passed away June 22, 2014 in Portland, Texas.  She was born April 16, 1945 in Moline, Illinois. She moved to Portland while in elementary school and lived there for the majority of her life. She was married September 3, 1963 and remained married to her husband, Benny, until his death 45 years later.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viette Wiley and her husband Benny Childress. She is survived by her sons Jim Bob (Christine) Childress and Tod Childress, as well as; her brothers Jeff Wiley, Cody Wiley and Craig (Anita) Wiley; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland.
