Pedro Roland Costilla

June 25, 2001 — May 5, 2026

Pedro Roland Costilla, lovingly known to those who cherished him as Baby Pedro, was born on June 25, 2001, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and left this world on May 5, 2026, in the very place where his life began. His journey, though not long in years, was filled with moments that shone brightly in the hearts of all who loved him.

Pedro had a gentle spirit and was known for his prevailing happiness. Those who knew him remember the joy lighting up his face whenever someone sang "Happy Birthday" to him—a moment of pure delight that he treasured deeply. His little quirks also brought warmth and laughter—his mild frustration before getting a haircut was well known, a small glimpse into the personality of a young soul navigating his world. Seeing him happy amid the playful company of his beloved brother and sisters was a scene that captured the essence of his joyful nature. The sounds of his distinctive little laughs, babbles, and other unique expressions became the soundtrack of love and connection within his family.

Music was a source of great pleasure for Pedro. He loved to listen to it, finding comfort and joy in its rhythms and melodies. Watching SpongeBob brought him countless happy moments, a simple delight that was part of his everyday life. Above all, being close to his family—especially his brother Jonathan and sisters Briella and Ariella—was a treasure he held dear.

Pedro leaves behind a loving and devoted family. His father, Pedro Costilla Jr., stood by him as a steadfast supporter through every step. His mother, Estella Torres Costilla, was his most amazing nurse and constant source of comfort and care, embodying love in its purest form. The deep bond with his grandma, Estella “Ninfa” Torres, was a source of unwavering support and help through the years. His siblings, Jonathan, Briella, and Ariella Costilla, were not only his family but also his playmates and companions in life’s tender moments.

Though Pedro’s grandpa, Robert Torres, and great grandpa, Calistro Torres, have passed on, their memory lives on in the family’s hearts, part of the foundation that helped build the man Pedro was becoming.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nurses who cared for Pedro with compassion and dedication. Their efforts, along with the love and presence of family and friends during times of need, were a testament to the community that surrounded him.

And thank you to Pedro & Elma Costilla (grandparents) for the beautiful service in Baby Pedro's honor and their support. And all the family who walked this path with the family.

Pedro Roland Costilla's life, marked by his radiant smiles and cherished moments, leaves a lasting imprint on all who were privileged to know him. His joy, innocence, and love will forever be remembered and treasured in those that knew him and beyond.

Rest peacefully, Baby Pedro. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
