Patricia "Patty" Adase

Patricia "Patty" Adase Jones [Supak], age 59, passed away unexpectedly after a long struggle with an unknown illness on Friday, August 7, 2026, in her home in Portland, Texas. Her death, although tragic and untimely, freed her from the bonds of this earth and the terrible pain that wracked her body.
Patty was self-sufficient, tough, loving, and for those that knew her, always reluctant to ask for help. She consistently put others’ needs over her own, and cared for all equally: family, friends, strangers on the street, lost animals, and most of all, children. She especially looked out for any child that had been mistreated, and was a substitute parent for many who were missing a mother figure, father figure, or both. Patty's sense of justice was strong, and her compassion a shining example for all of us. She loved birthdays and holidays, especially Halloween, and loved when autumn arrived, which meant it was time to decorate the house with ghouls and ghosts, skeletons, bats, spiders, and all manner of spooky props.
Patty was a hard worker and had numerous careers, including running restaurants, working in agriculture, being a stay-at-home mom, and lastly, working as a long-haul truck driver with her late husband, Bill. Her home was always filled with music and laughter, and she made sure those around her felt loved. Sarcastic jabs were often traded back and forth, and the more she picked on you, the more it meant she liked you! The kitchen table was the heart of the home, and many a meal and conversation were spent around it with friends and family. She loved to cook for everyone, and the smell of desserts baking in the oven often wafted throughout the house. Not a single soul went hungry if she could help it, and she strongly supported social programs such as free lunches in public schools. She will be sorely missed, and there will never be another like her.
Patty is survived by her two sons, Grant Supak and Travis Supak; siblings, Ressa Waugh and husband Gary, Peggy Welch and husband Craig, Raven Bowman, Ronnie Bowman and wife Linda, Dale Bowman and wife Jan, Butch Bowman and wife Carol, and Joe Adase and wife Brandy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Bill Jones; older brother Bobby Adase; and sister, Lena Fondren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Grace Point Community Church in El Campo, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or a similar charity in Patty's memory.
