Obituary

Pamela Ann Elliott, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on February 1, 1950, in Alice, Texas, Pamela lived a life marked by love, kindness, and an abiding spirit that radiated laughter and positivity to all who knew her.

A graduate of Alice High School’s class of 1969, Pamela went on to work as a newspaper editor. Her work was a reflection of her passion for storytelling and preserving history. Pamela had a strong faith in God and loved having conversations about the Bible. She also found great joy in riding horses and working cattle alongside her father and her daughters. Pamela had a generous heart and spirited character. She was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved her daughters and grandchildren so much. 

Pamela's passing marks the loss of a deeply loving and kind soul whose presence brought warmth and brightness into every room. Her caring nature and steady positivity left an indelible impact on her family and loved ones.

Pamela is reunited with her father, King Kendall Hinnant and mother, Gradie Virginia Hinnant. She leaves her legacy to her daughters, Kim Gossett and Keri (Lon) Hunn; grandchildren, Austin Howard, Brittney Elliott, Payton Hunn, and Hadley Hunn; sister, Nancy (Don) English; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Winsteads’ Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Pamela’s life are invited to attend and celebrate her enduring legacy.

Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: Lon Hunn, Austin Howard, Blake Gordon, Jonathan Wernecke, Hayden Johnson, and Arnold Salinas.

Pamela Ann Elliott’s memory will remain a beacon of love, history, and strength for those privileged to have known her. Her love and spirit will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones in the years to come. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
