Orlando Garza, 63, of Portland, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9, 1963, in Portland, Texas.
Orlando was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend who was deeply loved by all who knew him. He was known for his strength, dedication, and the care he showed to those around him. His presence brought comfort and stability to his family, and he took great pride in being there for those he loved.
Orlando will be remembered for his kind heart, steady guidance, and the love he gave so freely. His life was a blessing to his family, and his memory will be treasured always.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tomas Barrera Garza, and his brother, George Garza.
He is survived by his mother, Angelina Felan Garza of Portland, Texas; his brother, Gerald (Jerry) Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas; his three sisters, Diana Garza of Conroe, Texas, Sharon Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kristin Herrera of Taft, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Texas, on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00am.
