Omar V. Medina

Omar V. Medina went to be with his Lord and heavenly family on December 2, 2022 at the age of 78.  Omar was born on December 13, 1943, in McKinney, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his Father, Rodolfo Medina; Mother, Josefina Vallejo; and his Brother, Eziquiel Medina.  He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Andrea G. Medina of Mathis, Texas and their four children: Raquel (Dago) Garcia, Patricia (Todd) Elkins, Omar Medina, Jr., and Marisa Medina all of San Antonio, Texas.  He is also survived by his siblings: Hermelinda (Melly) Belmares, Maria (Bertha) Cantu, Marcos Medina, Belia M. Martinez, and Jaime Medina.  Omar had 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Omar worked with Haas Anderson Construction for many years before retiring in 2012.  During retirement he enjoyed gardening, reading, gambling, and especially discussing politics.  He loved to sit outside watching the hummingbirds and drinking his coffee.

Omar impacted many lives with his knowledge and shared his wisdom with all who knew him.  His smile would light up a room and his humor gave everyone a chuckle. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation for Mr. Medina will be at 1:00 pm and Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Dobie Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church followed by interment at Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
