Olivia Villegas

Olivia Rodriguez Villegas, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend peacefully passed away on March 1, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezequiel and Rebecca Rodriguez, and her brother Ignacio (Iggy) Rodriguez. 

Olivia was a 1976 graduate of Gregory – Portland High School and a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a degree in Business Administration.  She enjoyed her work of many years as a Human Resource Manager in the private sector. 

Olivia was a woman of strong Catholic faith – believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.  She is survived by her daughter Christina Beatrice McDonald (Raymond) from Junction, TX; son Mario Luis Villegas (Shannon) from Josephine, TX; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael. She is also survived by her sisters Rachel, Becky, Guadalupe, Irene, and Micaela; brothers Esequiel, David, Greg, and Ramiro, She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank her home health providers through the years, Consuelo, Laly, and Elvira and her special friends, Kay, Ana and Frances.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 4 to 8PM with the rosary recited at 7PM at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, TX.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, TX with internment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
