Nydia Joan Tamez

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our beloved mother, Nydia Joan Tamez, passed away on October 21, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Nelda Jean Casas. She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Tamez Sr., as well as her two beloved sons, Ricky Jr. (Marina) & Ryan Tamez.

Born to Miguel & Aurelia Ortiz on December 2, 1970, her sisters are Noelia Ortiz, Ninolia Amador (Luis Jr.), Nancy Martinez (Joe), & (like a sister) Raquel Flores.

As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & a great friend to many, she will be remembered so fondly.

She graduated from Gregory Portland High School & was an active member of the Catholic Church & the Sacred Heart Society.
