Nina Fay Franck

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nina Fay Franck, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on August 3, 2024. Wrapped in her loving grandchildren’s arms.

Born in Vancouver, Washington, to Vincent and Fay Brehm on March 7, 1942, Nina moved with her family to the Leavenworth Valley in 1943, where she grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Nina lived a life full of laughter and love. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone around her smile. Nina’s humor, often unwittingly, was her superpower, bringing light to even the darkest days and reminding us all of the joy in life. Her love for playing games and baking brought the family together, creating cherished memories.

On August 12, 1967, Nina married Wilson Franck, with whom she shared 38 wonderful years until his passing in 2005. Their love was a cornerstone of Nina's life, and she found immense joy in their time together. Dancing through life with her family.

Though shopping with Nina could be a challenge—her meticulous nature often leading to long hours of deliberation—these moments became cherished memories. Her insistence on finding the perfect item was a testament to her care and thoughtfulness, traits that defined her approach to all aspects of life.

Above all, Nina was the glue that held our family together. She taught us the importance of unity and the strength found in coming together as a family. Her home was a sanctuary where laughter echoed, and love was always in abundance. Nina’s legacy lives on in the values she instilled in us: the significance of family bonds and the power of togetherness.

Nina Franck is survived by her children, Debra Brooks (Franck), Luann Ganong (Franck), Jayne Franck, Doug Franck, and Lydia Franck. Her granddaughter/daughter Keyla Franck; her grandchildren David, Shalyn, Samantha, Nicoletta, Brandy, Jaime, Dustin, Kelly, and Jacob; and her great-grandchildren Valley, Evelyn, Weston, Abby, and Elly. Numerous nieces and nephews. Her sisters Susie and Zirena and her best friend Kathy Jarrett-Cheek were also a cherished part of her life.

Special gratitude to Connie, and Dr. Morgan for the love and unwavering gentle care of our beautiful Mother over these years.

Nina was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and believed in the resurrection of life in paradise. Greeting her when she left this earth was her beloved husband Wilson, youngest daughter Jenna, stepson Edwin, her parents, and brother.

Rest in peace, dear Nina. Your laughter and love, have left an undeniable mark on us all. Your lessons of love and unity will guide us always, and your memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
