Mildred Fojtik, 91, of Mathis passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. She was born on November 6, 1928, to Frank and Annie Vrana in Williamson County, Granger, Texas. She was born and raised in Granger. She married Darwin Fojtik at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church in Granger, Texas, on October 16, 1951. Darwin and Mildred made their home in Mathis, Texas and lived there until Darwin's Sr. passing in 2017.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of the Altar Society, and a Bible Study group in the prior years. Mildred was also a life member of the Catholic Ladies Workman Association. In her pastimes, she enjoyed sewing, baking and dancing to Czech music. She especially enjoyed spending time in the kitchen baking kolaches and having her grandchildren during the summer months.

She is survived by two sons, Darwin Fojtik Jr. and wife Jonna of Mathis, TX, and Robert Fojtik, currently of Mathis and a daughter, Barbara and husband James (Butch) Wilson of Boerne, TX. Mildred is also survived by one brother, Frank Vrana of Granger, TX; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mildred is also survived by three brother in laws, four sister in laws and many nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, George Vrana and one sister, Mary Motloch. In light of the current restrictions, the family will be holding a private service.
