Michael Rivas

Michael Rivas was born to Valde and Betty Rivas on July 17, 1973 in Van Horn, Texas. He passed away on August 6, 2021. Michael was a strong, courageous man who loved his parents. His favorite pastime was listening to Metallica, Danzig, Pearl Jam, and Guns N’ Roses. His favorite songs were Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers and November Rain by Guns N’ Roses. He also loved the song Imagine by John Lennon, which is also his mom’s favorite song. Michael loved his two sons Cain and Raven, tremendously.

 Michael's spirit will live on in his two sons Cain and Raven Rivas. Michael is also survived by his loving parents Valde and Betty Rivas; his siblings: Patricia Ann Rivas, Baldemar Rivas, Jr., Joseph (Jinnelle) Lee Powell, Chris Rivas, and Amy Rodriguez.

 Visitation held at 2:00 PM., Rosary held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Dobie Funeral Home. Funeral Mass held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church in Mathis, Texas. Followed by interment to Descanso Eterno II

 Pallbearers are Baldemar Rivas, Jr. (Brother), Joseph Powell (Brother), Raven Rivas (Son), Cain Rivas (Son), Andy Rivas (Cousin), Peter Sandoval (Cousin), and Ramon Sandoval (Cousin).
