Retired Navy Chief Petty Officer Matthew Craig Blanton, 54, of Kingsville, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, January 31, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Dwight and Mary Carolyn Blanton; sisters, Deborah Saldana, Teresa Blanton; uncle Butch Akers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Blanton of Kingsville; daughter, Fansealee Nicole Blanton (Rafael De La Rosa III); sons, Jovi Ybarra (Michelle) of Seguin, Tomas Reyes (Viktoria) of Kingsville; grandchildren, NiicyAnnaleesia Maria De La Rosa, Mila Grace Ybarra, Adahlia Phoenix Reyes and Camillo Draco Reyes; sisters, Edith Hanley of Arkansas, Connie Blanton (Cosme Soliz) of Corpus Christi; brothers, Richard Blanton (Minnie) of Victoria, Brian Blanton and David Blanton (Rebecca) of Missouri; one niece and numerous nephews.
