Margie Poling, 72, passed away August 15, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 10, 1944 in Logan County, Illinois to Edward and Darlyne Bonnette and was raised in Aurora, Illinois. Margie was a dedicated RN, a faithful member of St. Christopher’s-by-the Sea, a member of the Red Hats Society, and the San Patricio Extension Club.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, John Poling, parents, Edward & Darlyne Bonnette, parent-in-laws, Clarence & Olive Poling, brother-in-law, Marcus Poling, and life-long friend, Marge Davis.
She is survived by her children, Michele (Christopher) Seay, James (Linda) Poling, Heather (William Randel Jr.) Goodall, grandchildren, Jonathan Stebbins, Bradley (Kendra) Stebbins, Stephen Stebbins, Ferran (David) Ames, Damien Seay, Bailey Seay, Nichole Seay, Emilee Seay, Michael Poling, Mikayla Poling, Mitchell Poling, William Randel Goodall III, Robert (Kristen) Goodall, Sarah Goodall, 2 great-grandchildren Isabella and Bianca Ames, brothers, Terry and Larry Soberg, and her best friends, Deborah Jenkins and Sandra Mudwiler.
Mom, grandma, great-grandmother, friend will be greatly missed for her lively spirit and outspoken personality, always going above and beyond in everything she did for others. We take solace in knowing that you are rejoicing in God's glory. You will be forever in our Hearts.
Our family would like to thank Christus Spohn Hospice staff especially Claire, Genevieve, and Lee, Fresenius Dialysis Center Aransas Pass especially Angie, and Dr. Leesang & staff for all the care and support each of you provided during this difficult time.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 28, 2016, at St. Christopher’s-by-the-Sea Church in Portland, Texas.
