Born on December 18, 1931, in Sandia, Texas, Margie was known for her unwavering kindness and warmth, earning her the reputation as the sweetest person one could meet.

In the 1950s and 60s, Margie owned a laundromat in Edna, Texas, which showcased her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to her community. Her professional journey continued with her dedicated service at the post office, where she worked for an impressive 22 years. Her career was marked by five years in the office followed by an admirable 17 years as a mail carrier, forging meaningful connections with those she served.

A passionate cook, Margie was especially renowned for her catfish and meatloaf, although she would never partake indulging in the fish herself. Her talent in the kitchen was matched by her creativity in ceramic work, a hobby that brought her immense joy.

Margie leaves behind her loving family, including her daughter Karen (Rocky) Gerla, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Frank Gerla, Jeanne Gerla, Ginger Poole, Nathan Poole, David Bradfute, and Kimberly Bradfute. Her legacy continues through her 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her.

She is reunited with her cherished husband, Lester Bradfute; her parents, Mary Plachy and Arthur Frazier; her daughter, Patricia Gilly; her son, Clayton Bradfute; and her brother, Henry Frazier.

Margie will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, remembered for her sweetness, her culinary expertise, and her indelible mark on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
