Our beloved mother, Linda L. Gonzales, gained her wings into Heaven on July 5, 2025 at the age of 69, after battling a chronic disease. She was surrounded by her closest loved ones at the time of her passing. Our mother was the absolute greatest mother, so genuine, loving, and full of life. She taught us all to love unconditionally and showed us the value of respect for others.
Linda's relentless work ethic carried her to hold multiple positions in her life that include factory/assembly work, early childhood care, bar management, restaurant team lead, and adult home care provider. She was always a baker and artist/creator at heart (decorating, fashion, and sewing included). Baking wedding cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for all of her family and friends brought her the most joy. As her health began to decline, she dedicated her time to begin her self-employed baking business, finally following her love and passion for baking. She created endless, beautiful birthday and special occasion cakes until she reduced her duties to creating and customizing specialty cookies. She baked to express her love to others and treated her customers like family. Valentine cookies were the last batch she baked, just this February. We will carry her legacy in so many ways for years to come.
In addition to being a devoted mother (and wife for 11 years), she is survived by her twin girls, Anastasia (Stacy) De Los Santos and Stefanie (Penni) Gonzalez, her 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, her sister Delores Gonzales, brother-in-law Ernest Gonzales, 1 niece Michelle Parkin and her husband Terry Parkin, 2 nephews Ernie and Eric Gonzales, 4 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, 2 great-great nieces, and 2 great-great nephews.
"Despite the pain and heartbreak we are experiencing, we must let you go with our God who will provide eternal rest and peace. We all love you deeply and will hold you dear to our hearts for eternity. Love you always."
A Rosary will be recited at 10:30am on Friday, July 11 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, TX with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11am, Interment will follow at the Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton, TX.
