Larry Malcolm Cunningham

Larry M. Cunningham, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018.  Larry loved his new life in Corpus Christi since he moved here in 2011.  Larry was born in Denton, Texas in 1944 to Ben and Cecil Cunningham.  He graduated from Denton High school in 1963 and served with the US Army in the Vietnam War.  He is a graduate of University of North Texas and Baylor University.  He loved and practiced law for 43 years concentrating on court appointments and Child Protective Services cases during his years in Corpus Christi.  His hobbies included golf, video games, bowling, reading, travel and watching Survivor and his beloved Texas Rangers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jimmie Cunningham.  Larry is survived by his adoring wife Anne of 43 years, awesome children, Heather Cunningham and Krystal Cunningham, his 3 cherished cats and many other loving family and friends.

We would like to thank Spohn Shoreline Hospital and Angel Bright Hospice as well as his doctor, Dr. Reddy for the care that he was given during his brief illness.  We would also like to thank the Education Service Center, Region 2, Enduro Resources Partners, The Keen’ hos, and Developmental Enhancement Behavioral Health for their assistance and support during this very difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at the Oso Beach Golf Course on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 from 4 – 6 pm where a memorial bench will be presented to honor Larry and his love of golf.

Although losing Larry has left a large hole in our hearts, we know that he is no longer in pain and that he is getting to play golf every day.
