Juliana L Cortez entered to Eternal Rest on Friday, August 26, 2022 in Mathis, Texas. She was born on July 30, 1940 in Mathis, Texas to Lorenzo and Jesusa (Cabana) Lopez. Preceded in death by both of her Parents; Husband Melquiades Cortez; 1 Daughter Estella Cortez Ruiz; 1 Son Armando Cortez; 1 Grandson Ricardo Ruiz Jr; Brother Pedro Lopez; Sister Dominga Lopez Soto.  

Left to cherish Mrs. Cortez ever lasting memory are: Daughter Seferina Cortez; 4 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Sister Antonia Lopez. 

Pallbearers: Noe Moreno Jr., Jose Lopez, Lorenzo Lopez, Tom Lopez, Pete Lopez Jr., and Ricardo Ruiz III.

Visitation will be at 2 pm and Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Dobie Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 followed by interment to Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
