Julia Sofia Garcia

Julia Garcia, 92, was peacefully called home by our Heavenly Father on April 17, 2017. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and happy spirit. Very accepting of God’s will and always making the best out of any situation that she encountered. Julia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isauro Garcia, and her daughter, Virginia. Julia is survived by her children, Armin Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Terry Bazan, Martha Pena, Patricia Curiel, Emily Gutierrez, Carlos Garcia, and Scotty Garcia, their spouses and several grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm. on Friday, April 21 at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, TX with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Texas.

Intermittent services to follow at Palms Memorial Garden Cemetery in San Patricio County Texas.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Virginia Lee Garcia Endowed Scholarship, Del Mar College Foundation, 101 Baldwin Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78404.
