Juan Sanchez

Our beloved Husband, Dad and Papa, Juan Sanchez Jr., passed away after a long illness at his home in Portland, Texas on October 31, 2013. Juan was born in Hebbronville, Texas on December 12, 1937, to the late Juan and Catarina Sanchez. He grew up in Premont, Texas, and after high school graduation served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 - 1960. Juan worked for Reynolds Metals Company and retired after 36 years of service.
Juan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bernardo Sanchez.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dalia Sanchez, his daughter Veronica Trevino and her husband Richard Trevino, who Juan loved as a son, and by his grandchildren, the joys of his life, Trey, John Michael and Emily. He is also survived by his brother David Sanchez and his wife Velma Jean of Columbus, Ohio, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas, with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, November 4, 2013, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Portland, Texas. Interment will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The family would like to thank Cora Hernandez and Girling Hospice for all their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
