Juan Garcia Perez

Juan G. Perez, born March 7, 1932 to Jose and Andrea Perez, went to be with the good Lord on August 10, 2015. Juan was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and two daughters, Gloria and Anna Perez; brothers Jose and Jesus; sisters Petra, Maria (Chia), Jesusa (Chita), Lupe, and Martha (Chiva). He is survived by his wife Eva of 61 years; daughters Estella Perez of Gregory, Janie (Rey) Cirilo of Portland, Suzana (Alfred) Hernandez of Helotes; son Oscar (Hilda) Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughters Melinda (Jimmy) Earnest, Samantha “Sami” and Stephanie “Stephana” Hernandez of Helotes, Texas; grandson Alfredo “Big Baby” Hernandez; great-granddaughter Taylor “La Nina” Earnest of Portland; great-grandsons Larry “Muscle Man” and John “John John” Earnest of Portland, Texas; sister-in-law Margie Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Juan Tio”.

Juan was a proud member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and usher for many years. He worked at Teal Lodge (now Spectra Energy) for 30 years in Aransas Pass, Texas. Juan was also known for his expertise in yard work in Aransas Pass. Juan joined the Army from November 13, 1952 thru November 12, 1954 and served as a corporal and will be buried with full military honors.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons Alfredo, Larry, John, and nephews Ramiro Perez, Armando, and Joe Gonzalez.

The family would like to thank New Century Hospice for their patience and care provided to Juan.

Vistation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home, with a rosary to be resided at 7:00 p.m that same evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory will burial immediately following the mass at the Gregory Cemetery.
