Jose Roberto Salinas

It is with great sadness that the family of Jose Robert (Birdie) Salinas, 77 of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents Jose and Idelfonsa Salinas. Robert was a retired firefighter for the city of Corpus Christi, Tx. He was a Vietnam Veteran who enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting with his family. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father in law, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rudy Salinas and daughter in law Veronica (Ronnie) Salinas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lillian Salinas, son's J.R. Salinas, Michael (Cindy) Salinas, and daughter Melinda (AL) Ovalle, grandson's Brandon (Destiny) Salinas, Richie Salinas, Justin (Ada) Torres, Tristan Salinas and granddaughter Isabella (Charlie) Rincon, great grand kids Mahala, Charles, Elizabeth, Izaiah, Joziah and Merek.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 22nd at Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A Service will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M Monday, September 23rd. Interment at 1:00 P.M. at Coastal Bend state Veterans Cemetery 9974 IH 37 Access Road Corpus Christi, Tx.
