Jose "Jj" Falcon

Jose Luis "JJ" Falcon, Jr., 18, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by the love of his family, after a bravely fought battle with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). JJ was born in Plainview, Texas on August 15, 2005 to Jose Luis Falcon, Sr. and Catherine Falcon. He lived his early life in Lubbock, Texas until moving to south Texas in 2013. JJ is a recent 2023 graduate of Santa Gertrudis Academy High School in Kingsville, Texas.

JJ was involved in various activities including playing little league and high school baseball, running cross country, track, and showing goats. JJ was an active 4-H member participating as Nueces County 4-H Ambassador in events such the State of the County Address. He was an escort for the Nueces County Livestock Show Queen's Contest and Auction Volunteer as well as Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions Regional Qualifying Baseball Team.

Even after being diagnosed with cancer his junior year, JJ continued to be active in school events and support his high school baseball team by attending as many games as he could. Subsequently becoming a full-time member of the ever popular and entertaining baseball team known as the Savannah Bananas based out of Savannah, Georgia. His hobbies included video games, snapping with friends and traveling with his family. Being with his family was the most important to him.

JJ's life will continue to be loved and celebrated by his parents, brothers Javen and Jaxton, and sister Emberlyn, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. JJ was predeceased in death by both grandmothers, Felipa Falcon (paternal) and Tina Gerhardt (maternal) and a very close friend Ella Baumer.

A Celebration of JJ's Life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 beginning with Visitation at 3:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm at the J.K. Northway Exposition Center in Kingsville, Texas, A final viewing will begin Monday September 4, 2023 at 8 a.m. prior to interment at Chamberlin Cemetery at 10 a.m. Pall Bearers include cousins Ethan Duncan,Cameron Duncan,Isaías Lucio,Irene Falcon,Lily Falcon and best friend Domanick García. Honorary Pall Bearers are JJ's Santa Gertrudis Academy Baseball Teammates, his fellow Nueces County 4-H Ambassadors, and his Savanna Bananas Baseball Teammates.
