Jose Roberto Alegria

Jose Roberto Alegria passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on March 27, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born in Kingsville, TX on April 6, 1953, to Antonia C. Rios and Roberto Alegria Sr. After high school he began his career as a truck driver where he enjoyed travelling all over the United States collecting souvenirs to share with his family. He was a conversationalist that liked meeting new people from all walks of life. Jose was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved boxing, baseball, astronomy, reading, and politics.

Jose is preceded in death by his mother Antonio C. Rios, his father, Roberto Alegria Sr., his stepfather, Eugenio Rios, his sister, Rosario Escamilla and his brother, Donaciano Rivera.

Among those left to cherish his memory is his high school sweetheart, wife of 49 years Lupe Alegria, his daughters Rose (Joe) Charles, Norma Alegria, April Manuel, his sons Robert (Courtney) Alegria, Tony (Monica) Alegria, his sister Martha C. Alegria and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and will forever be missed.
