A hardworking individual, Johnny dedicated his working career from 1967 until his retirement in 2016 to various pursuits that enriched not only his life but also the lives of those around him. He was a kind-hearted man who found joy in simple pleasures, including baking bread, fishing, woodworking, and watching wildlife. His hobbies reflected a nurturing spirit, and he shared these joys with his family and friends.

He is also reunited with his daughter, Christine Haskins; parents, Alex Gautreaux and Maggie Pitre; and siblings, Doris Shavin, Clemilia Marcel, and Alreada Songe — whose memories will forever be cherished by his family.
As we remember Johnny Gautreaux Sr., the family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the Vargas family and Fidencio Martinez, who have been a source of support and love throughout his life and in this time of loss.
