John Kye Sherrod Sr.

John Kye Sherrod, Sr., 77, passed away June 22, 2014 in Corpus Christi, TX.  He was born April 17, 1937 in San Antonio, TX to Robert and Janice Sherrod.  Johnny owned Select Autos in Portland for several years before working at Commercial Motors in Aransas Pass for the last 10 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joan Mackie.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynda S. Sherrod; sons John Kye Sherrod (Ambra) and James Kristopher Sherrod; sister Barbara Allison (James) and brothers Robert L. Sherrod, Jr., and James M. Sherrod (Betty).

Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland. Services will be held at Limbaugh Funeral Home on Friday June 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity.
