Jodell was born in Mathis to Lamar and Nellie Belle (Mallett) Tullos. Since Lamar was in the oilfield, Jodell lived with her papa and granny Bud and Della Goodwin in Lagarto. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Argenta.

Jodell attended school in Lagarto for eight years before completing high school in George West. After graduation, she moved to Corpus Christi, where she began working in the telephone office. In 1954, she returned to Mathis, where she married Charlie Beall. Together, they raised two sons, Charlie Ti and Richard Lamar.

When Richard began school, Jodell began working at Mathis Junior High. In 1973, she moved into the school business office, where she continued working while raising her family. When Charlie went to work for Welder McCan, the family moved to Woodsboro. Jodell later worked for San Patricio Credit Union.

Charlie passed away in 1985, and Jodell returned to Lagarto, a place that had always held a special place in her heart. She later went to work at the prison in Beeville, where she remained until her retirement.

Jodell was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Beall; her sons, Charlie Ti Beall and Richard Lamar Beall; her parents, Lamar and Nellie Belle Tullos; her grandparents, Bud and Della Goodwin; and her brother, John Tullos.

She is survived by her shih-tzu Sami, daughter-in-law, Kellie Beall; her grandchildren, Lacie Jo and Lamar Ti; her sister-in-law, Barbara; nephew Jay Tullos; nieces Kelley Tullos, Jessica Keese, Rebecca Mulloy, and Marcy Phelps Marlar; and her Home Health nurse, Dylan Rakowitz, who cared for her with kindness and compassion.

Jodell will be remembered for her love of family, her devotion to those she cared for, her love of animals, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.

Pallbearers will be Leo Casas, John Shipp, Greg Galloway, Todd Adams, Stanley Tuttle, Jimmy Porter; Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Whitley, Buddy Galloway, A. W. Knolle, Bob McCoy.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM at Winsteads’ Funeral Home on August 18, 2026. Graveside service will be at Lagarto Cemetery at 10 AM on August 19, 2026.
