Jesus Ynfante, a devoted family man and hardworking provider, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 79 in his hometown of Mathis, Texas. Born on April 4, 1946, Jesus embodied the spirit of dedication and responsibility, ensuring that his family was never lacking in any needs throughout his life.
A proud veteran, Jesus served honorably in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him the values of discipline and commitment. Known as the "drill sergeant" of his household, he had high expectations of his children, with a strict bedtime of 9 PM, emphasizing the importance of structure and discipline.
Beyond his role as a provider, Jesus was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, gambling, and playing pool. He also cherished the music of Ramon Ayala, which brought him solace and happiness throughout the years.
Jesus leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of 60 years, Juanita Ynfante, who was his steadfast partner and companion through life's journey. He is survived by his daughters, Juanita (Richard) Garza, Rachel (Raul) Ramos, and Amy (Thomas) Sosa, and his sons, Robert (Michelle) Ynfante, Michael (Susie) Ynfante, and Jesus (Angelica) Ynfante, Jr. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them. He is also survived by his sisters, Maria Elena Jimenez and Manuela Garcia, and his brother, Juan Ynfante.
Jesus is reunited with his parents, Simon Ynfante and Alejandra Arredondo Ynfante, along with his sisters, Rosa Salinas, Anjelina Navarro, and Francisca Robles, and his brother, Simon Ynfante, Jr.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him, and his impact on his family and community will be felt for generations to come.
Pallbearers: Robert Ynfante, Michael Ynfante, Jesus Ynfante Jr., Raul Ramos, Caleb Ynfante, Joshua Ynfante, Michael Ynfante Jr., Thomas Sosa.
