Jesus "Jesse" M. Flores, a cherished figure in the hearts of many, passed away in Mathis, Texas, on August 18, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on July 13, 1954, in Georgetown, Texas, Jesse was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a devoted family member whose life resonated with the warmth and joy he brought to those around him.
A proud and dedicated individual, Jesse spent his career at the DuPont Refinery, where he exemplified hard work and commitment. Outside of his professional life, he was a passionate musician, known for his skills as a bass player. In his free time, Jesse found solace and happiness in strumming his guitar and sharing his love for music with family and friends.
Jesse leaves behind his beloved wife, Maria Lopez, with whom he shared countless memories filled with love and laughter. Together, they created a nurturing home for their children, Christopher Lopez and Jessica Marie Lopez, who have carried forward the values instilled in them by their father. Jesse was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. He often reminisced about the moments spent with them, where laughter and music would fill the air, creating precious memories to be cherished forever. Some of his fondest memories were shared with his siblings: Juanita Moreno, Paula Pena, Dora L. Flores, Margarito Flores Jr., David Flores, and Andrea Flores. The bonds of family were vital to Jesse, and he often spoke with great affection about the times they shared—times filled with laughter, stories, and the unbreakable connection that family brings. Remembered for his kindness and generosity, Jesse touched the lives of many. He is reunited with his parents, Margarito Flores Sr. and Victoria Lopez Flores, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. Their memories remained alive in Jesse, echoing through the stories he would tell and the lessons he imparted to those he loved.
The legacy of Jesus M. Flores will live on through the love he shared, the melodies he played, and the family he devoted himself to.
