Jesus J. Cavazos

Jesus J. Cavazos, 93, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. He was born in Mercedes, Texas to Dionicio and Teodora Cavazos on October 20, 1917. Jesus was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years Guadalupe Gutierrez Cavazos, daughter, Lydia, son Daniel (Vietnam) and daughter Olga Cavazos Cruz.
Jesus was a devoted loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great- great grandfather and friend. He will always be remembered for the love of his faith, family, friends and fishing. He was a hard worker (pot tender), retired from Reynolds Metals after 30 years. He was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul, Immaculate Conception Church where he devoted many days working, and painting the Catholic School, and church.
He is survived by 9 children, Maria Oralia, Jesus Jr., Javier Alberto, Odelia, Lupe, Arturo, Donnie Cavazos, Rachel Hernandez, Ofelia (Jerry) Rivera, Adan (Imelda) Cavazos, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great- great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening at the Limbaugh Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory. Interment will follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
