Jesse H. Aleman

Jesse Hernandez Aleman went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2023. He was a life-long resident of Gregory, Texas. He was born May 15, 1954 to Guadalupe and Gilberto Aleman, and was the 5^th born of 11 children.

He was preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe Hernandez Aleman, his father Gilberto Cruz Aleman; his brothers Gilbert H. Aleman Jr., David H. Aleman, and Richard H. Aleman. He is survived by his four brothers Samuel Aleman, Daniel Aleman, Johnny Aleman and Oscar Aleman; three sisters Estefana Escobedo, Dora Gonzales, and Helen Angel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived in memory through his niece, Jessie Angel, named for him. He loved everyone, especially the little ones in his family. Jesse loved fishing and anything to do with hunting and the outdoors. He was a jokester and enjoyed the Three Stooges, any western or scary movie, and novelas. He also enjoyed playing Loteria with the family. Jesse loved holidays, especially Halloween when he was able to interact with all the children.

Jesse was very much loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He truly was one of a kind.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023 at Winsteads’ Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 also at Winsteads’ Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Gregory Cemetery.
